Before you buy.
What does a license include?
One major version of Meeteor for one person, with the minor releases and security patches we publish for it. It is not a lifetime license: new major versions, about every 18 months, are not included. License holders can buy the next major version as a discounted upgrade, or keep using the version they have. Security patches and compatibility fixes continue for at least 12 months after the next major version ships.
Is there a subscription?
No. A license is a one-time purchase per major version. Support and Meeteor Cloud are optional yearly add-ons, sold separately.
Is support included?
No. A license doesn't include support, and you don't need it to use Meeteor: the help center is free for everyone. Support is an optional add-on at $99 per seat per year.
Do I need Meeteor Cloud?
No. Meeteor works fully on your own computer. Meeteor Cloud is an optional add-on for syncing your projects across devices and sharing them with a team.
Do I need my own AI keys?
For the cloud AI, yes: you use your own Anthropic or OpenAI account and pay them directly, typically one to two dollars per hour of calls with the default models. Local mode needs no keys and runs entirely on your PC.
How does founder pricing work?
Each platform has its own ladder of 300 founder seats: the first 100 seats are 75% off, the next 100 are 50% off, the next 100 are 25% off. Pro and Team seats count toward the same ladder. Founder Cloud has its own ladder. When a tier sells out, the next one opens automatically.
Does founder pricing cover the next major version?
No. Founder pricing is for the major version you buy, with its minor releases and security patches. The next major version is offered to every license holder as a discounted upgrade.
What happens with a macOS pre-order?
You are charged now at the founder price and get the license when macOS ships. You can cancel for a full refund at any time before delivery.
When does Founder Cloud start?
Meeteor Cloud is in development. Your prepaid first year starts on the day it launches, and you keep the founder rate on every renewal for as long as you renew.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Windows licenses can be refunded within 30 days of purchase. macOS and Founder Cloud pre-orders can be refunded in full at any time before delivery.
How many computers can I use?
A seat is one person. You can install Meeteor on the computers you personally use.
